چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims Hemodialysis (HD) patients has the high prevalence of atrial fibrillation (AF), procedure HD itself might be related to risk factors for onset AF. On other hand, cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), such as pacemaker, cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD) resynchronization therapy (CRT) have function arrhythmia detection. However, in with CIEDs, there are no studies that observe AF over long periods time. The aim this study is investigate duration AF, using detection memory CIEDs. Method Consecutive who were newly implanted CIEDs between January 2008 December 2021 retrospectively analyzed study. Patients chronic leadless pacemaker without post-implantation follow-up excluded from Subclinical was defined previous tachyarrhythmia lasting more than 6 minutes memories devices. primary endpoint subclinical within one year after CIESDs implantation. week follows according schedule, HD1: Monday or Tuesday; HD1+1: Tuesday Wednesday; HD2 Wednesday Thursday; HD2+1 Thursday Friday; HD3 Friday Saturday; HD3+1 Saturday Sunday; HD3+2 Sunday Monday. We examined association HD. Results Fifty-four had been (pacemaker: 37, ICD: 6, CRT: 11) enrolled During a mean period 352 ± 36 days, 26 54 (48.1%) patients, 124 events (1-8 / patient) detected History clinical (46.2% vs 7.1%, p = 0.003) sick sinus syndrome (53.8% 10.7%, 0.005) significantly higher frequency on day approximately twice non-HD (83 episodes [27.7 episodes/day] 41 [10.3 episodes/day]), HD1 most frequent among (Figure 1a). Limited day, observed frequently especially during (30/86 events: 34.9%) five hours (28/86 32.6%) (Fig. 1-b). longer compared time (216 [90, 1066] min 96 [30, 418] min, 0.008). Conclusion In occurred several Careful observation help early diagnosis

Atrial fibrillation in patients with implantable defibrillators.
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is common in patients who have implantable defibrillators and presents some unique challenges and opportunities. AF burden can be assessed more accurately, allowing for evaluation of therapy efficacy (drugs or ablation). It remains to be shown whether home monitoring of defibrillators to detect and treat AF more quickly can reduce cardiovascular and stroke end points. O...
متن کاملPredictors and long-term clinical outcomes of newly developed atrial fibrillation in patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices
OBJECTIVE To evaluate predictors and long-term prognosis of atrial fibrillation (AF) following cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) implantation in patients without history of AF. METHODS From May 1994 to April 2014, 1825 patients with CIED were enrolled in a retrospective, single-center registry. A total of 880 patients from the registry without prior documented AF history were inclu...
متن کاملCardiac Resynchronization in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation.
Atrial fibrillation (AF) occurs in one of four patients undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT).-Without special therapy, the prognosis of AF patients with CRT has been generally worse than those in sinus rhythm. The importance of a high percentage of biventricular pacing (BIV%) was confirmed in a large study where the mortality was inversely associated with BIV% both in the presence...
متن کاملThe Role of Implantable Cardiac Monitors in Atrial Fibrillation Management.
Continuous heart rhythm monitoring using implantable cardiac monitors (ICMs) for atrial fibrillation (AF) management is steadily increasing in current clinical practice, even in the absence of an established indication provided by international guidelines. The increasing use of such devices is mainly associated with recent technological improvements including miniaturization, easier implant pro...
متن کاملOral anticoagulation management in patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing cardiac implantable electronic device implantation
BACKGROUND Oral anticoagulation (OAC) therapy is associated with increased periprocedural risks after cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) implantation. Patterns of anticoagulation management involving non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) have not been characterized. HYPOTHESIS Anticoagulation strategies and outcomes differ by anticoagulant type in patients undergoing ...
